Money seems to disappear rather rapidly in this tale, as Matthew struggles to please everyone and especially himselfwhile a hooker tries to please herself and maybe Matthew too.

Both story Prostitutes Hardenberg hookers lack the proverbial hearts of gold, as do academia and the media. Meanwhile serious concern and frivolity keep an uneasy balance, making this a book that invites both laughter and frowns. Do all hookers want to be saved? Are media portrayals of hero or hooker ever real? And is it true that crimes against whites get more coverage than any other?

Cynical, bawdy, plausibly and sadly absurd, Saving the Hooker is Prostitutes Hardenberg tale of our American times told with sharp humor, stark parody, and dark intelligence.

The premise itself plays on the farcical satire that the book is intended to convey. However, although I knew that the book was intended to be a satire by reading the synopses, Prostitutes Hardenberg satirical tone was not evident in the early sections of the book.

The characters are very well developed, although I had a little difficulty relating to Matthew. Again, by the end of the book, I was relating to him on a much more personal level.

The other characters were very well developed — better than most books.

I really enjoyed reading it and was compelled to keep reading. Some may object to the characterizations and stereotypes present, but that is part of the satire. If the reader objects to those aspects of the book, Prostitutes Hardenberg obviously did not get the point of the satire.
